The unimaginable has happened. I’ve finally seen a student film that wasn’t complete crap. I don’t know how to feel. Joy? Hope? Jealousy? I’m not quite sure.
The film is called Strings and it’s brought to us by writer/director/and cinematographer Rob Savage. He’s not a Jew, but he’s still managed to be a pretty talented filmmaker which is something I find moderately shocking.
This guy is (un)officially the most amazing student filmmaker ever created from being stuck in front of the television to watch movies as a children. And I found him before he has become well-known. So somehow. This. Makes. Me. The coolest kid in this blog.
Can’t wait till he’s famous and I can say “I told you to so” to all those people who didn’t believe me. I’ll say to my non-existent grandchildren (have to have sex to have grandchildren) “I creepily sat alone in the back of the theater and spilled my popcorn all over back in the day before Rob Savage was famous. I saw his very first movie, I did.”
And that’s all I really need.
