I knew it. I knew when my friend asked me to give money to his ‘super cool’ Kickstarter campaign so his band could ‘record an album’, that he was scamming me. He was using the oldest trick in the book; fake charity. Here I thought I was doing him a favor, jump-starting his music career so that when he became famous he would take me on tour. We’d snort coke or opium, whatever it is the kids do these days, while cavorting merrily off of his success and talent. But alas!
Kickstarter is a scam. As is indiegogo. Don’t trust either site. Never use either site. If a friend tried to get you to ‘donate’ to them through that site, puncture their tires and tell them to eff off. The internet is a dangerous place.

Fuck you sir. Through kickstarter I have been able to obtain funding for indie movies that would have otherwise been impossible to create. So, to restate my point, Fuck you.
