Ari Fleischer Opens Mouth, Inserts Foot

What’s it like being a Republican? I’ve always wanted to know. I want to live in a world were money doesn’t mean anything, but money is everything. Where expensive call girls eat up a day’s salary. Where money grows on trees and the law I just passed made my stock portfolio worth billions more.

I will never be rich and I will never know what it’s like to be a shill for the Republican Party. But Ari Fleischer knows! You might remember Ari Fleischer was the Press Secretary for George Bush. Yes. That man. But all of his Bush era antics are in the past. He is no longer a shill for the man in the White House. He is a shill for a party.

In an unprovoked tweet, Fleischer said about the Fiscal Cliff deal:

I increased donations to charity in 2012. This deal limits my deductions so I, & many others, will likely donate less in 2013.

Ouch. Because of the tax deductions clause in this fiscal cliff deal, Fleischer will be doling out less money. What a terrible thing to say. I know nothing about tax deductions in the fiscal cliff deal, but I do know that people give to charity because they believe in it. Not because Uncle Sam will write it off. That is unless you’re a terrible person. And with that, lets go to the next tweet.

Oh so Government taking more money from people means less donations. But that still doesn’t say anything to your statement about tax deductions. When will you try walking that one back?

There you go! No mention of the word tax deduction. Just simple math. If you have less money, you’re going to spend less money. But Money means nothing to Ari, so he will still give all he can give.
