I read about Moogfest a year ago. I knew it was kind of a big deal. They had lots of big bands, many trendy electronic ones. I knew all the trendy Pitchfork-tested-and-approved bands were there. And even though our writer Howie the Goy went to school near Asheville and every Thanksgiving when we’d return to Providence he’d rant and rave out how his town wasn’t full of biddies and bros and hippies, I didn’t believe him. Why would I? I’m a fucking megalomaniac.
Well, it turns out I’ve gotta eat my words. Because Moogfest is becoming a bigger deal than, say, Pitchfork Paris. Granted, Pitchfork Paris is quite new. But Moogfest seems to becoming hot shit in the ‘big music festival world’. Bigger than Bro-naroo, Bro-chella, and Gathering of the Juggalos.
Important bands that were there to note, important meaning they were covered on this blog:

Yep. Also, I never said there weren’t hippies. There were tons of hippies.

‘Tis true. You’ll never escape the hippies.
