Everytime I hated on The Black Keys my unjustifiable rage was justified. Rage does not need reason or rationality. But with this new single Lonely Boys coming off of their soon-to-be-released-album El Camino, The Black Keys are one of the few bands out there that can still rock the fuck out. I’ll accept that they are no longer ‘indie’ music. Although I wasn’t too impressed with Brothers, this song is fucking gold. They have entered the mainstream music-sphere of Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, J-Lo etc. And I wont hate anymore. Mucho Respecto.
You can pick up their single Black Friday, when lots of musicians sell vinyls to ‘fight the corporations’ or something.
