Interesting photo shoot, SPIN….
Portlandia has taken the world by storm. Hip people the world over, from Portland to Williamsburg are all like nonchalant ‘sweet, this show isn’t bad.’ Which is code for THIS SHOW IS FUCKING AWESOME.
I may be one of the few people out there who still hasn’t totally gotten ‘it’. The show is an entertaining, unique sketch comedy. The characters are entertaining, and if I really had to, I could even find some of these West Coast archetypes in Burlington, Vt. Seriously, I just walked into Old Crowe Bookstore in downtown and thought “Man, this would be a perfect set for Portlandia. It has birds AND used books!” Maybe I just need to watch season 1 again. Or spend some more time in Portland.
I digress. SPIN decided to chat with Fred Armisen and favorite HIPSTER JEW Carrie Brownstein. Let me just make it clear right now. Carrie Brownstein is our JILF of the month. Sure, she’s no Bar Rafaeli. But she’s got the quirky cuteness of Tiny Fey and the hipness of Zooey Deschanel So, for the month of October, which has almost passed, is dedicated to Carrie Brownstein.
