A long, long time ago, when this blog was in its infancy, we wrote about the website Feed Me Bubbe. Since we love old people (laughing at them, occasionally with them), Feed Me Bubbe was golden. It was a simple premise of our friend Avrom Honig shooting footage of his Jewish grandmother cooking different Jewish dishes. Bitches loved it.
And now it is a book. A cookbook filled with various stories, Jewish traditions, and presumably fat-filled Jewish cooking.
At $10, it may not be as cheap as anything you have bought at Borders’ Bankruptcy Sale in the past 2 weeks. But it is cheaper than any new books, and its kitschiness means if you aren’t going to buy it for yourself, you should obviously buy it for your Jewish mother and/or sister’s birthday.
