Scott’s Pizza Tours will be celebrating October — aka National Pizza Month — with a variety of specialty tours sculpted for those with specific dietary restrictions (because nothing is more hipster than dietary restrictions). The first tour will take a limited number of passengers via big yellow school bus to four different pizzerias in Manhattan and Brooklyn for slices of animal-free pizza. Think you need cheese to have a good time? You’ll think otherwise after this 4.5 hour adventure, led by pizza enthusiast/tour guide (and Jew) Scott Wiener and his vegan brother Jon. The brothers will lead vegans, vegetarians, omnivores and curious food fans in tastings and discussion of pizza history, culture, science, economics and more. The tour will prove you don’t need to compromise when dining with friends whose diets are different than yours. You’ll learn to love your vegan by way of delicious animal-free slices!
