News broke out recently that Mel Gibson is going to produce a movie about Judah Maccabee, a Jewish war hero during the times of the Romans. Or Greeks. Who cares. It has to do with Hannukah and you get presents on Hannukah, so do you really care?
Anyways.
A large group of Jews are in disbelief that Mel Gibson is going to produce a movie about a Jew (Passion of the Christ doesn’t count). How dare he! How dare a man that once went on a drunken anti-Semitic rant produce an action movie! What does he know about action movies? He’s obviously going to deviate from the actual story. Even though various Jews believe in various things. How dare he not take that into consideration. I am so pissed off.
Anyways.
I’m going to go get drunk with my great Grandpa and listen to him say nasty things about black people infiltrating my white suburban Jewish town. But that’s okay. He’s not racist because he’s not Mel Gibson.

I think the movie might just suck. I suppose it’s the ultimate mea culpa from Mel.
