Censorship

One reason Chicky and I have this blog is say whatever we want. Do whatever we want. Be whomever we want. It’s refreshing to know that I can easily write shit about Animal Collective fans and not have to worry about anyone pipe bombing my bike. It’s nice and liberating. Like going commando in the spring.

But it really grinds my fixie when the Big Government gets all up in my shit. I’m not talking about this blog. We are still going to make fart jokes whenever possible. But there has been a recent string of attacks on illegal websites I frequent my friends like to go to.

If the government knew anything about the internet, it’s that they can’t control it. This might be why they are attempting to make an internet kill switch like what is happening in Egypt. This is some scary shit, but knowing that all hipsters are passive assholes that only care about whats happening RIGHT NOW, I will just take this time to rant on about illegal downloading/streaming.

No matter how much the government tries to shut down these websites, they will always be 5 years behind the technology. ATDHE.net has been shut down. So has Channelsurfing.something (idk. idc. Im passive). In just minutes atdhe was back up under a similar name. Minutes later, people were pointed to it via social networks. And now we move on like nothing happened.

I can’t wait for thepiratebay to open up a can of shit on the the music industry with themusicbay.org.
