Just the post I’ve been looking to write. One ripping on Religious Jews. BOY OH BOY! HERE I GO!
Leaving in Northern New Jersey, I tend to be near a lot of uninteresting, but sometimes humorous publications. I guess that happens in any suburban hell hole. But because Northern Jersey is Jewville, USA I get to see some pretty funny stuff. For example, today I went to a pizza place and found this gem. It’s funny. I get shit for Hipster Jew ‘s writers being lazy. But if you even try to read this shit. SNOOOOOOZE. We might only write two paragraphs an article, but shit man, at least we are entertaining. o when are we going to get our newspaper deal?

Let’s first start with the copy. Connection serves the entire jewish community. Apparently of the world. Although, most of their ads are for Brooklyn. But still. Just think about it. A free…. $1…. free dollar? newspaper for the entire world that can cater to all Jews. At least all Jews who are part of the ‘community.’ What this community is and where it can be found has yet to be determined, but I’m hoping it’s as good as the TV show. Jews are gods in the comedy department. This newspaper must be a joke. Right?
The second article talks about what I really want to discuss: the religious hatred of Barack Obama. *hissss hisssss* Recently, Obama made some comments, in one of those Mid Asian countries that has a lot of people, about how he didn’t like Israel’s actions on something that I really don’t give a shit about. He also admitted to not being briefed on what was happening. BOO. How could this man state he doesnt like something without actually know whats going on? He MUST hate Israel and Jews. How else could someone blindly criticize Israel. Man. Obama is an asshole. An anti-semetic, Muslim asshole. Just read the headline of the second article, again.

- went before the United Nations General Assembly and challenged the international community to support Arab-Israeli peace, and declared that “Israel’s existence must not be a subject for debate.” He also assured the world that “efforts to chip away at Israel’s legitimacy will only be met by the unshakable opposition of the United States.
- U.S. military aid to Israel has increased markedly this year

Besides for the current administration, I have a huge dislike for Orthodox Jews and Neo-cons. Their constant lies and miss-truths are so George Bush like. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a conversation about Israel or jews that didn’t contain one of following quotes.
- “You want the Jews to have peace with those dirty Muslims? You’re an anti-semite. You hate Israel”
- “You want the Jews to stop building in Palestine? You’re anti-semite. You hate Israel”

Even with all of this bullshit, you can be happy to learn that 66% of Jews voted Democrat in the last election (66.6% of Jews in Jersey) . 31% voted Republican. That crotchety old man in the back of the shul that yells about Obama being Satan DOESN’T speak for everyone like I believed he did. There are times that I find newspapers like this and lose a little hope. There are times I go into an Orthodox Synagogue wearing an Obama pin, just to hear heckling to the point that I start losing hope in American Jewry. I can safely and comfortably say, thank god for Conservative and Reform Jews sticking with their progressive roots and not moving to the path of Neo-Con bullshit. I’m happy to know that the Jewish people are still part of the social action group and not the “lets line our pockets with money” group. Unfortunately, the Orthodox community didn’t get the memo, like everyone else, that every president sticks up for Israel and stands by her every move. I’m convinced that if the talking heads just shut up for a month, and people started talking to each other, we would be calling everyone an anti-semite because of their alternate views.
When did Orthodox Judaism stop being about people, and started being more about how everyone else isn’t as good as they are?
