I tried really hard to think of adding onto my initial post, where I slobbed all over his single Fuck You. The best song that has come out of 2010. But I can’t. Everything I hoped for an then some came off this album. So instead I’ll rant and rave and rehash some thoughts I’ve had while listening to The Lady Killer.
- Motown is SO in right now. Vintage 60s and 80s shit never gets old. Since those two decades were the best musically and fashion-wise for our fair country, this album makes total sense.
- This album is THE perfect lady killer album since Marvin Gaye. I can’t wait to seduce hundreds tens atleast 1.5 girls with this album.
- Every hipster in the world should be loving this album. Cee Lo will be the next Hall and Oates. I am predicting it now.
- This album is a rollercoaster ride of seduction.
- He threw on his Band of Horses cover. Awesome.
Alright, I know I’m never supposed to give a perfect score for these things. If we do, people will think we don’t know how to rate music and will lose all of our bullshit indie music cred. Also, we’re not Pitchfork.
All other music can be damned for the next few weeks. I thought I had gotten tired of Fuck You, but I’ve been proven wrong. So I’ll give The Lady Killer the second highest rating one hipster can relay to another. That’s right 4.5 Halls out of 5 Oates
