So here’s what bothers me. Everyone thinks that Tea Partiers are white racists who envision a continuation of a white political order. It may or may not scare them that a ‘minority’ is president. I don’t know or give a shit.
What I do give a shit about, is that people fail to understand the new sense of irony that Rich is bringing to the table. He is a class-C hipster. Because this whole ‘Nazi’ thing, he only does it because he wants to be different from his friends. And he wants to make Nazi reenactments cool, because if he doesn’t believe in Nazis but pretends to be one, then he can totally make it hip. It’s like how hipsters like to say derogatory terms like ‘fag’ and ‘nigger’, and use them in incorrect ways, so that it’s only kinda half racist but a whole ironic.
I know what you’re thinking. “Chicky, you’re just using that douchebaggy ironic tone to make a sarcastic point by playing devil’s advocate”. And for that, I say shame on you. Because there is more to this story.
Not only did Rich decide to play a Nazi on numerous occasions, but he EVEN fought against the Russians. So he wasn’t even on our fucking side during these WWII reenactments, or atleast playing the losers so that the Allied troops could kick his fascist ass in appropriate fashion!! And he didn’t play Americans defeating Commie Russians. Just Nazis killing Commies. Come on, what’s more hip than hating AMERICA, the land of the FREE and the home of the BRAVE. (And WHITE).
Thank god their Nazi WWII recruitment video didn’t have Wagner playing in the background. That woulda been a riot.
