I totally stole that from Deadspin. I couldn’t beat it. Pitchfork’s music festival got the alt bro’s who are a bit more bro than alt wondering: Where the fuck did all these obscure early 1990′s NBA jersey’s come from?

What people forget is how much white suburban kids loved basketball in the 90′s. Everyone I know played on a Jewish basketball team because they couldn’t make any real basketball teams. But they loved it. And nothing is more ironic than doing something you loved in the 90′s.

These people are years behind though. Maybe because hipsters and Jews have the only white people that still like basketball, hoopsters have been flying under the radar. When the Celtics were in the playoffs I would run into dive bars and meet other hipster Celtics fans (mind you this is in Philadelphia) and we would sit and talk about the early 90′s teams and argue who the best point guard was. That shit would never happen at McFadden’s.
