Orbit commercial is the future of advertising

Donald Draper on Mad Men couldn’t think up of something this great. After the Adidas commercial parodying Star Wars with Snoop Dogg, I am impressed with the way companies are going about advertising their wares.

Instead of spending millions of dollars on 30-second run-of-the-mill television bits, companies are focusing on comedic viral videos. Someone finally understands that TeeVee is past its peak, and that the interwebs is the way of the future.

What better way than to pair your brand, Orbit gum, with 2 actors from the greatest (and underrated) TeeVee show of all time, Arrested Development? Genius. Add in a pinch of inappropriate teacher/student relations, and you have yourself a well crafted 5 minute commercial.

And it obviously worked, because the ad made it onto this paltry excuse-for-a-blog.
