For those of you who have no idea who this man is, I’m not going to tell you. I’m waaaaaaaaayyyy too elitist to do something like that. And if you don’t know an obscure man’s name, then you can goooooo to hell.
Ok, that was a bit trite and facetious, even for my usual snarkiness. Truth be told, I had no idea who Ben was until recently.
It turns out that he is the Chairman of the US Federal Reserve. Not really surprising that Jew-Bama would give a Jewish man full reigns of our nation’s money supply. But what is surprising, is this amazing picture of Bernanke. Just take a look. I know the picture was taken in the 70′s, when mustaches were more prevalent than cocaine and black lights. But man, does he look like a hipster or what?

Wow, you’d think a picture like that existing would kill your chances to be made Chair of the Fed. But, no. That’s not how it works at all.

At least five Fed chairmen have been Jewish, including Hoover’s appointee (following the stock market crash) Eugene Isaac Meyer, who eventually became more famous by buying the Washington Post out of bankruptcy and turning it profitable; his daughter Katharine Graham and her son Donald Graham ran the newspaper until 2008. Meyer avoided being publicly identified as Jewish, and he was a Yale alumnus in the era when Jews were not welcome in the Ivy League.
The next Fed chairman, appointed with the incoming Roosevelt administration, was Eugene Robert Black, also Jewish. He was widely recognized for promoting a loose credit policy as governor of the Atlanta Fed, an initially controversial position that saved a number of banks in the South from collapse due to cash flow problems.
Arthur Burns was not only Jewish, but was born to Yiddish-speaking parents in Galicia. He was appointed by Nixon and continued to serve under Ford and Carter. Burns is generally regarded as among the worst Fed chairmen to have held the job: he acquiesced to insane economic policies, such as emergency wage and price controls, advanced by the Nixon political people and eventually allowed double-digit inflation in the Carter era. Nixon blamed his defeat in the presidential election of 1960 on long-time Fed chairman William McChesney Martin, who was originally appointed by Truman and served for 29 years until Nixon replaced him in 1970 with Burns, who Nixon correctly expected to be more susceptible to political pressure.
One of Burns’ students at Columbia University was Alan Greenspan, whose 19-year term as Fed chairman under Reagan, G.H.W. Bush, Clinton, and G.W. Bush was second only to Martin’s. Greenspan is also Jewish. Regarded as a success in the job, most criticism of Greenspan has focused on his inability to predict the future with perfect accuracy despite his reputation for uncanny accuracy; for example, his 1977 Ph.D. thesis predicted the housing bubble and mortgage crisis that, in hindsight, is now understood to have begun on his watch.

I believe I’m mandated by the stipulations in my agreement in writing for HipsterJew to use the words “Vast,” “Zionist,” and “Conspiracy” to describe my reaction to that post.
