The origins of Ga-ga (Israel’s version of dodgeball) have always been a little mysterious. An urban legend once told that David Ben-Gurion invented the game while shooting Canadian geese on his kibbutz. But all we really know is that it was started in Israel. When you think about it, it is fitting for ga-gas origins to be from there.
You see, ga-ga is like dodgeball. But mom doesn’t have to worry about you getting hit in the head with a 50mph beamer. Because ga-ga is a simple game where players are in ‘the pit’ and they have to hit below other people’s knees. Sure, there may be a little injury, but my boychick’s face and manhood will remain intact. And Israeli mothers everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief.
I’ve included a video which will show you how great ga-ga is. And since kickball is so passe, I may as well move onto something more obscure and ridiculous. And this takes the cake.
