Movie Breakdown: What do they call a quarterpounder in Israel?

This is why I like foreign countries (and in this case Israel). If you tried to air this commercial in the U.S. there would be a torrent of lawsuits. But somehow, parodying Pulp Fiction is 100% a-ok. And Israel would know – the country is full of Jewish lawyers.

I don’t know how much they paid to hire a fat Samuel L. Jackson doppleganger. Or the Jewish-looking, skinnier John Travolta. Although his voice impression is pretty spot on.

And as much as you may want to dislike McDonald for their transglobal corporatism, their advertising is sure effective. The ‘McShwarma‘? Greatest Middle Eastern/American fusion cuisine name I’ve ever heard of.

  1. A fiction of great pulp!
Who is the best member of Stella, in your opinion, HipsterJew?

    • Hard question. I love Michael Ian Black with a passion, and he made ‘I love the 90s’ series bearable. David Wain is pretty awesome in his own right, and Wainy Days was pretty exciting and outrageous. AND I once saw Michael Showalter do standup. So to answer your question, I love all three Jews. And Wet Hot American Summer is AMAZING.
