When I saw this website, hipsterwifehunting.com, I thought it was something I could easily jump onto. Jews are supposed to date for the sole purpose of getting married and producing grandchildren. Hipster Wife Hunting (HWH) sounded pretty perfect. Maybe I wouldn’t need that 3-month subscription to Jdate after all.
HWH says they are ‘dedicated to the admiration and appreciation of the hipster female. And we have t-shirts.’ Oh, they are rife with irony. I wonder if they have sold more T-shirts than us (that being anything above 0.00001, of course). Now I guess if you live an uninhabitable area where hipster females are few and far between, this website can keep you entertained. It can give you hope while saving enough money to make that move to Brooklyn.
I still haven’t decided if these women are real, or if the site is one entirely huge joke. Most of the questions they ask women pertain to music or otherwise incredibly hip activities. Hell, I don’t care. Just tell me where I can get Melissa’s MSN screenname. Cause MSN is so old it’s retro and hip, right?
My only question: When are they going to make a Hipster Husband Hunt (HHH), and when would they like to feature some of the fine writers on Hipsterjew?
